Pyotr Trushin has been appointed the new General Director of the United Metallurgical Company. In this position, he replaced Sergei Toropov, who headed OMK since February 2021, it says in the message of the press service. The reasons for the reshuffle were not specified.
Pyotr Nikolaevich Trushin was born in 1982. In 2005 he graduated from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow with a degree in management. In 2018, he was awarded an honorary diploma from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Since 2008, Trushin has worked at OMK as head of the business system development department, head of goal setting and performance assessment, and director of performance. He held managerial positions in the departments of internal audit and improving the efficiency of business processes. From February 2017 to June 2019, he was a member of the OMK Management Board. Since July 2019 – Member of the Board of Directors of the company. Prior to OMK, he worked for SUEK and PwC.
Pyotr Trushin knows the company well. He has such important qualities today as the ability to work in a team, exactingness, consistency, leadership and the ability to take responsibility for himself. As General Director, Petr Nikolaevich will focus his work on further improving the quality of the company’s management processes and increasing the long-term efficiency of OMK, – said Anatoly Sedykh, Chairman of the OMK Board of Directors.
