What could be better than convincing Sergio Busquets to then attract Lionel Messi? Inter Miami came up with this genius idea before the summer transfer window. Faced with FC Barcelona’s discount offer for the Spanish midfielder – one year plus an optional additional year depending on the matches played – the Florida franchise has put on a big show.
According to José Alvarez, David Beckham’s club offered twice Barça’s offer, to have a three-year contract and a salary of 6 million euros per season. Something to think about the Spanish midfielder, whom Xavi absolutely wants to keep next season.
Another growing threat to Busquets (34) comes from Madrid. According to Eduardo Inda, Atlético would have recently surveyed his entourage for an arrival in the Spanish capital during the summer transfer window.
