Police carry two murder charges after discovery of a man found dead in Sydney

Two people face a charge of first degree murder after the death of a man in a Sydney home last Tuesday.

The body of Stephen Richard Rose, 41, was discovered Tuesday night in a home of Rotary Drive.

The Cape Breton Regional Police stated that the results of the interviews and the autopsy of the witnesses led to the conclusion that Rose had been murdered. They did not communicate the cause of death.

On Friday, the police made his first arrest, detaining Jessica Anne MacDonald, 33. The next day they arrested Joey Frederick Evong, 37 years old.

Both have been charged with first degree murder and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police said the suspects knew Rose and that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with his death.
