Pınar Gültekin, a student of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, disappeared on July 16. Upon his family’s application, the gendarmerie and police teams started a search. Cemal Metin Avcı, who was taken into custody due to his suspicious statements during his studies, admitted that he drowned Pınar with his hands in the fight, burned his body in the trash barrel and poured concrete on the vineyard house.

The burned corpse of Pınar was reached in the barrel located in the place where Gültekin showed. Pınar Gültekin was buried in Hizan district of her hometown, Bitlis. Suspect Cemal Metin Avcı, on the other hand, was arrested on charges of “killing a man with a monstrous feeling and torment” at the courthouse he was sent to.

On the other hand, it was learned that Cemal Metin Avcı’s wife Eda Avcı received psychological treatment after the incident. Standing with calming medicines, the woman gave a proxy to her lawyer Doğukan Uzgiden to divorce Avcı. It has been stated that the lawyer, Afgiden, came to the courthouse of Muğla today and submitted his petition to the Family Court. Lawyer Doğukan said in a written statement last Monday that “You appreciate these events because my client is suffering a major trauma. He is also a victim of this issue.”
