Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented on the detention in Kazakhstan during the protests in Almaty, Kyrgyz musician Vikram Ruzakhunov.

He called the incident with Ruzakhunov, who had slandered himself for the sake of release and deportation to Kyrgyzstan. “This means nothing. A single case is not a reason for building some trends, especially against the background of such large-scale events that took place a week earlier in Alma-Ata, “Peskov quotes RIA Novosti.

Earlier Ruzakhunov confessedthat he slandered himself for the sake of release, saying that he was offered money for participating in the rallies. Ruzakhunov was detained on suspicion of terrorism. Returning to Kyrgyzstan, he thanked the country’s law enforcement agencies for their assistance in returning to their homeland. Vikram Ruzakhunov is the leader of a jazz orchestra, and has become a laureate of international jazz festivals many times.
