Patti Smith was showered with a few extravagant flower arrangements fit for a queen on her 75th birthday.
The legendary singer was pictured receiving a large colorful bouquet and a dozen red roses from a colleague at her New York City townhouse on Thursday.
Ahead of her birthday the Because the Night singer was bestowed the key to the city on Monday December 27, saying in her speech: ‘To receive this at 75, it makes me look even more forward to the next 25 years.’

Smith was pictured in high spirits as she received her gorgeous deliveries wearing brown slacks and a simple white button down with frilled slippers.
Her arms were filled to the brim with one arrangement of red roses and another bouquet that included some purple wildflowers.
The Chicago native flashed a great big grin and a wave while additionally collecting a brown envelope which was wrapped with a white ribbon.
A trusted colleague was seen hand delivering her gifts as they stood and chatted for a bit before she retreated inside.
Patti was slated to perform at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on her birthday but the show was postponed to February 24 on account of the Omicron surge.

The inimitable punk icon was celebrated on a large scale this week as she was presented with the key to New York City by Mayor Bill de Blasio.
‘I wish I could give New York City the key to me, because that’s how I feel about our city,’ the Just Kids author said.
‘With all its challenges and difficulties, it remains—and I’m quite a traveler—the most diverse city in the world. To receive this at 75, it makes me look even more forward to the next 25 years.’
The ‘punk poet laureate’ — as she has come to be known — first rose to fame in 1975 with her debut album Horses. The record was selected for the Grammy Hall of Fame earlier this year.
