On the past two days, the Paraski World Cup in Sella Nevea (ITA) was out of the question due to the weather this Saturday it finally worked with a descent. Johannes Aigner from Lower Austria continued his series of successes. Markus Salcher impressed with second place.
The visually impaired Aigner and his guide Matteo Fleischmann left the Frenchman Hyacinthe Deleplace behind by 22 hundredths. Third was the Italian Giacomo Bertagnolli (+0.65 sec.). Aigner thus further extended his lead in the overall World Cup. Tomorrow he has the opportunity to fix the descent crystal ball. In the discipline ranking he is 60 points ahead of Deleplace.
In the standing men, Carinthian Markus Salcher was only beaten by Swiss Robin Cuche. The Canadian Alexis Guimond completed the podium in third place. Nico Pajantschitsch and Manuel Rachbauer retired.
Another descent is scheduled for tomorrow in Sella Nevea. The World Cup final will then follow next week in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
