“AZ was the boss of us in all areas”, signed The Telegraph up from Letsch’s mouth after the game. “The players were better mentally, physically and in terms of football. It has been a season with ups and downs in the competition and great successes in Europe.”
“We would have loved to experience that again,” continues the coach. “But we are not there and it will hurt to watch FC Twente and AZ play in Europe.”
