The doctors report with a Corona song from their home office

Farin Urlaub, Bela B and Rod González seem to be in isolation at home in the “Song for Now”, which has been on YouTube since Friday and is said to have been produced “using three used mobile phones” according to the band. Bela positions a roll of toilet paper as a status symbol in front of the camera, hobby photographer Farin flips through a photo book and Rod presents an impressive guitar collection.
One after the other they sing about boredom in times of exit restrictions and no contacts: “I’m sitting at home and I’m bored, I don’t collect toilet paper and pasta.” And: “That little quarantine is not the worst thing in the world”. Meanwhile, Bela holds up a sign to draw attention to the fate of thousands of refugees in the Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesbos.
Hope for a new album
The doctors also hope that the announced new album will not be long in coming: “We would like to go on tour, that is not allowed. So we screwed up a few songs together at home », says the new song. “We’ll take it up soon, that’s a promise. We soon broke out a new Die Ärzte album. »
After a six-year break, “the best band in the world” announced last year that it would go on tour in November 2020. Tickets for the almost two dozen “In the Ä Tonight” gigs were sold out within a few minutes.

            The coronavirus in short
The coronavirus mainly spreads from person to person via sneezing and cough drops. The chance of becoming infected through surfaces such as door handles is small. This chance decreases if you wash your hands often.
You can considerably reduce the chance of spreading by keeping at least 1.5 meters away from others.
An infected person infects two to three others on average. Precautions are necessary to contain this.
The vast majority of patients have mild (flu-like) complaints.
Almost all deaths involve the elderly or other vulnerable persons, such as heart, lung or diabetes patients. If everyone complies with the measures, this reduces their risks.
Read here what precautions you should take.

Coronavirus in Florence and Tuscany, the latest news

For the second consecutive day, the number of new Coronavirus cases in Tuscany is decreasing: twenty-four hours from the previous bulletin, there are 224 against 254 on Thursday and 273 on Wednesday. The swabs made in the last 24 hours compared to Thursday also decreased: 2794 against 3084. Deaths increased instead: 19, including a 58-year-old woman from Viareggio (Lucca) against 16 on Thursday and 13 on 25 March . The number of people infected since the beginning of the emergency has risen to 3,450 and deaths to 177. 27 then so far viral healings (the so-called negativeized), 76 clinical healings. The currently positive cases in treatment therefore remain 3,170. As for hospitalizations, to date there are a total of 1327, of which 274 in intensive care. From daily monitoring, on the other hand, 11,686 people are in home isolation throughout Tuscany.

The 19 deaths, who they are
Of the 19 deaths recorded on Friday, 7 are from the province of Lucca: a 78 year old from Fabbriche di Vergemoli, a 71 year old and a 89 year old from Viareggio as well as the 58 year old woman, a 78 year old and a 66 year old from Pietrasanta, an 80 year old from Seravezza. Four are from the province of Pistoia: an 88 year old from Larciano, an 89 year old, a 77 year old and a 91 year old from Pistoia. Three patients died in the province of Massa Carrara, all from Pontremoli: an 89 year old, a 93 year old and an 85 year old. Two died in the province of Pisa, an 80 year old from Pisa and an 81 year old from Vecchiano, two from the province of Arezzo, a 91 from Montevarchi and a 89 year old from Cortona, and one from the province of Prato, an 81 year old from Montemurlo.

Rossi: Northwest Tuscany the most affected
Northwest Tuscany was the most affected by this epidemic, but the regional health system has been able to respond to the emergency. This was said by the president of the Tuscany region, Enrico Rossi, when he met journalists on the premises of the new intensive care unit obtained in the disused former emergency room of the Santa Chiara hospital in Pisa. Overall – the Tuscan governor explained – we still have 66 intensive care beds available plus another 20 sub intensive care beds throughout the north west area. Here, if there is a need, there are 10 plus others of sub intensive care that can start working immediately. Another 12 are in Campo di Marte, Lucca, and other workstations have been set up at the hospital of Massa and Livorno

More links for hospitals
Two more connections for the Ponte a Niccheri hospital and additional festive rides for the Careggi hospital. These are the changes to the programming of local public transport, as requested by the health professionals, decided by the permanent table on the Tpl for the management of services during the Coronavirus emergency, set up by the Tuscany Region together with the service companies. From today, explains a note, the original bus connection to the hospital of Bagno a Ripoli (Florence) via San Donato in Collina has been restored, with a departure from Ponte a Niccheri to the Valdarno. The ride coming from Dicomano, in transit from Ponte a Ema and usually direct via highway to the Gkn company, will also be extended to Ponte a Niccheri. For the emergency period, the buses that make this journey, once they arrive in Ponte a Ema, will reach the hospital in Ponte a Niccheri instead of going to the A1. The connections with Careggi have also been enhanced: on holidays, pairs of trips to and from Montevarchi will be added in correspondence with the times of the three shifts scheduled for the nurses.

The ordinance to hire healthcare workers
Permanent recruitment of personnel within the regional health service. An ordinance provides for it, number 19 from the beginning of the Coronavirus emergency, signed by the President of the Tuscany Region Enrico Rossi. The hires, explains a note, concern all the professional skills necessary in the pathways of assistance, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. We are proceeding on the basis of the relative rankings available from Estar. The ordinance is valid for 90 days from today. The regional health system has already provided, or is in the process of hiring, 433 social and health workers, 1323 nurses and 200 doctors. In the latter case, contacts and proposals are continuing and it is expected to reach the needs as soon as possible, estimated at around 400 doctors

The special units for tampons
283 doctors have applied for the call of the ASL Toscana Centro to be part of the mobile units that will go from house to house to swab citizens. The service should start operating on Monday. The staff and the contractual formula are already there, only a few details about insurance coverage remain to be filed. I am convinced that by tomorrow (today, ed) we will be able to formally close this game, assures Vittorio Boscherini, Florentine secretary of the Fimmg family doctors’ union. Last weekend the ASL Center had launched a call for tenders to find staff for the service, renamed Special Continuity Assistance Units: the availability arrived from almost 300 candidates, including doctors on call, substitutes for family doctors, specializing in general medicine, even family doctors on duty. Throughout the Company’s territory, Florence, Prato and Pistoia, there will be 33 mobile units, one for every 47 thousand people (the Region’s request would be one for every 30 thousand people). How will they work? A doctor, with a contract as a freelancer, accompanied by a nurse, will go to the houses to make the swab, from the people reported as at risk by the family doctor or the pediatrician of free choice. A way to speed up the examination operations, and therefore do more, but also to safeguard family doctors, instead sending potential infected persons home to a number of small but well-equipped and protected patients. The teams will in fact be equipped with suits, masks and gloves. The shifts will be 6 or 12 hours, the service will take place 7 days a week from 8 to 20.

The first 120 blood tests in Careggi
There are 3,084 tests with the swab performed Thursday in the Tuscan laboratories, a record. Until a week ago, before the Region decided to significantly widen the screening, the average was 800 per day. These tests are currently reserved for two categories: those who are hospitalized and those who, having had contact with a known positive, develop symptoms. The goal of the Region is to reach 4,000 per day. In some hospitals a double check, blood test and swab test was also started on health workers: 120 were performed in Careggi in one day and a half. Serological tests started, Wednesday, also at the Scotte di Siena and in the South East ASL Tested all health workers, we will pass to family doctors, 118 operators and employees of private health. Then over a million serological tests on the population.

Intensive care
The number of inpatients in intensive care in Tuscan hospitals continues to slow down, now 259, with about 90 places still free: only 8 more places are occupied than on Wednesday. The most critical situation remains in the ASL North West, where there are only 3 high-intensity beds still available, but with 19 free places at the University hospital of Pisa.

The mayor of Lucca resigned
The mayor of Lucca, Alessandro Tambellini, was discharged yesterday from the San Luca hospital where he was hospitalized on March 16. The first citizen, who tested positive for coronavirus, had developed pneumonia after an initial phase of home care. Her health is now good. But the recovery will still be long.

Quarantine in Coverciano
The ASL Toscana Centro, after having activated, about ten days ago in Novoli, the first hotel for the quarantines of coronavirus positive, but asymptomatic, announces the inauguration of 5 other accommodation facilities: 2 in the Florentine, 2 in the Pistoia area and 1 in the Prato area. One of these is the guesthouse of the technical center of Coverciano, which will be inaugurated tomorrow, thanks to the FIGC president Gabriele Gravina and Palazzo Vecchio.

The owner of the Anderson cafe network argued with Putin about business

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday held a meeting with business representatives on supporting the economy in an epidemic of coronavirus infection. The meeting was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg, but it was moved to the Novo-Ogaryovo Putin’s residence near Moscow. The highlight of the meeting, according to a number of publications, in particular The Bell, was the speech of Anastasia Tatulova, the owner of the Anderson cafe chain.
She responded to Putin’s business support measures – the day before the president himself spoke about them in a televised address, and on Thursday, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov. Among these measures are the provision in the next six months of business loans with a low interest rate (up to zero) for the payment of salaries, a delay of six months in the payment of taxes (except VAT), an extension of the moratorium on checks for small and medium-sized businesses.

Tatulova began her speech with the words: “If two weeks ago I was a medium-sized business, now I am a micro-business.” She called the situation that is emerging due to the epidemic in a number of industries, in particular catering, a tragedy and asked to change the tax regime for them. Putin responded by saying that unscrupulous people would take advantage of such exceptions, but Tatulova rejected such rhetoric from the president. She also criticized a number of other government measures, urged the prosecutor’s office not to frighten the business, and suggested replacing tax deferment promises with tax holidays: “Replace the deferment with the word“ vacation. ”The Federal Tax Service says that you will receive a different tax base, so I tell you, you you won’t get any. There’s no one to take from. ” “What’s the difference – vacation or postponement,” Putin replied.

On the eve of the president also proposed to tax income from interest on deposits exceeding a million rubles, and to raise up to 15 percent tax on dividends paid abroad.
Putin himself, at a G20 summit on Thursday in a video conference format, said that the current crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic will likely be larger than the 2008 global economy crisis.
The US Congress on Friday is expected to host an unprecedented $ 2 trillion economic and citizen support program, which provides, among other things, direct payments to US citizens.

Eight telecom operators to provide customer data to the EU

Eight telecommunications operators have agreed to share geolocation data from their customers with the European Commission in an effort to curb the coronavirus epidemic. These are Orange (France), Vodafone (Germany), Deutsche Telekom (Germany), Telefonica (Spain), Telecom Italia (Italy), Telenor (Norway), Telia (Sweden) and A1 Telekom Austria (Austria). According to Reuters, the European Commission will aim to aggregate geolocation information in order to coordinate actions to control the spread of the virus. Population density will be analyzed over time to examine the link between containment measures and the progress of the epidemic. The data will be anonymized, which can only be summed up by post code, before being destroyed once the pandemic has been overcome. In a letter to the European executive, Wojciech Wiewiorowski, director of the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) ), was reassuring about the application of the GDPR, sufficiently “flexible to allow such measures” due to the health emergency. “It would also be preferable to limit access to data to authorized experts in spatial epidemiology, data protection and data science”, he concludes, stressing the “extraordinary nature of the situation”. in Switzerland This is a collaboration similar to that between the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and Swisscom. According to information from the daily Le Temps, ICTjournal reported two days ago that the operator was going to rely on the location data of its SIM cards to identify the crowds of more than 20 smartphones in a space of 100 meters by 100, before d ‘send this information to Bern. A decision has since been confirmed by the OFSP, which explains that it made this request to Swisscom to verify whether the ban on gathering in public places was respected. The data are evaluated 24 hours after their collection and are not personalized, which prevents drawing conclusions about the individuals. “As soon as order 2 COVID-19 is no longer in force, we will stop receiving data,” said the OFSP. Swisscom specifies that it is possible to object to the sending of its data by deactivating this option in the online customer area. Several countries in Asia have already used citizen data to try to stem the epidemic. In Taiwan, the spread of the virus remains limited through big data analysis and online travel history recording. In China, the government has imposed the use of apps and QR codes in certain regions to determine whether a person is contagious or not, according to data provided by the user and state-owned enterprises.
