It cannot be said that there were surprises, it is not the first time that Yudiel Gonzalez he tries to look for new horizons beyond the borders of the island: already during the course of the current National Series 61 he had asked to be discharged from the Tigres, only to repent days later and return, which cost him several games of suspension.
But after the announcement made by the Facebook page of the Tigres de Ciego de Ávila, that Yuddiel had definitely left the country, it is clear that his return was only the product of an initial failure in the plans.
This young outfielder became known at the last under 23 world championship, held last year, being one of the 12 members of that group that returned. He then was part of the cast that attended the youth Pan American, being one of the main figures of both squads.

González was playing his seventh season, in which he had played 167 games, with an offensive line of .323/.372/.456/.828 (AVE/OBP/SLG/OPS), 14 home runs, 93 RBIs, 71 runs scored and 153 unstoppable. Specifically in this series, he averaged .320, with six homers, 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored in 49 games played.
Yuddiel joins pitcher Yairo Martínez and becomes the second member of the Tigres to leave the island in less than a week, something that will undoubtedly affect the three-time national champions, in addition to losing one of their best hitters.

In this postseason, Yuddiel has participated in the two games held against the Hurricanes and had an excellent batting of three hits in six at-bats, with a double, a home run, two RBIs and the same number of runs scored. His last appearance was yesterday, Friday, May 27, but the game was suspended due to rain and by the time it resumed, he was no longer with the team.
Wherever you want him to be and wherever he wants to go, we wish him the best of luck and we will keep an eye on his performances.
