The wheel arches show a Heritage Gray finish and there are traditional Land Rover logos and badges as well as a side drawing that reads “GXC 639C”a nod to Wilks’ Series IIa license plate.

In it interior of this new special edition we can find Windsor Ebony leather on the seats, the side trims, the doors, the headlining and the dashboard. There are also body-coloured accents around the center console, multimedia system and the shifter for the ZF eight-speed transmission.

On the other hand, we find a plate that tells the story of the birth of the Land Rover name next to the gear lever. There are also specific tactile Islay Woolen Mill finishes on the seat shoulder areas, door panel sections, center armrest lid and hidden detailing under the sun visors.

Under the hood of the Land Rover Defender Works V8 Islay Edition hides a eight-cylinder V 5.0 liters with 405 HP of power at 6,000 rpm and 515 Nm for 5,000 rpm. This engine is associated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 171 km/h.

Los prices for the United Kingdom of this new special edition of the Land Rover Defender start from 230,000 pounds (261.000 euros) for version 90, and from 245,000 pounds (278.000 euros) for model 110.
