Omega are fatty acids. These form lipids, in other words fats assimilated by the body as a source ofenergy. There are monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated which are differentiated by their bonds between atoms carbons. The former have a single double bond established in the molecule, the latter have several. We then distinguish the Omega 3 and 6 which are polyunsaturated fatty acids from omega 9 and 7, which are part of the monounsaturated fatty acid family.

What are omega 7s?

Omega 7 qualify a group of fatty acids, the main ones of which are:

  • trans-vaccenic acid also called 11-octadecenoic acid;
  • paullinic acid or 13-eicosenoic acid;
  • palmitoleic acid, also called 9-hexadecenoic acid.

This last acid turns out to be the most interesting for the body, it is therefore the one that is most often affiliated with omega 7.

Unlike omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 often assimilable through products present in the daily diet, omega 7 are rarely found there.

What are the benefits of omega 7?

The subject of scientific research, omega 7 would have a multitude of beneficial virtues for the body. Thus, they would help to maintain a good hydration from mucous membranes and would protect the epidermis to maintain the skin in good health. They would, in fact, improve dry skin, reduce itching, would participate in the healing sores and regenerate a dry mouth, eyes dry or a drought vaginal.

But that’s not all, omega 7s would generally have beneficial effects on the metabolic syndrome. These are health problems related to a metabolism failing as for example diabetes type 2, cardiovascular disorders or even certain cancers (especially that of the colon). Omega 7s would have the ability to treat an imbalance of the cholesterol, a insulin resistance, but also a arterial pressure too high.

These monounsaturated fatty acids would also have an effect anti-inflammatory important. To better understand, they would act directly on the protein reactive, one of the main blood markers ofinflammation, thus allowing to relieve it.

The easiest way to ingest omega 7 is therefore to buy capsules containing oil to consume as a cure.
