A few hours after the conclusion of the Badalona Cup, the ACB has confirmed this Monday that the Copa del Rey 2024 will be held in Malaga.It will be held from February 15 to 18 in the Andalusian city.
This is the official statement:
The acb, the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación and the Málaga City Council have reached an agreement for the 2024 Copa del Rey to return to Andalusia and be held in Málaga.
The Copa del Rey will return to Andalusia in 2024 and will be played in Malaga. The acb, the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación and the Málaga City Council have reached an agreement for the event to be held in the capital of the Costa del Sol within a year, taking over from Badalona 2023.
The Martín Carpena Sports Palace will vibrate with the Copa del Rey between February 15 and 18, 2024.
The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, has recognized that “the celebration of the Cup in Malaga in 2024 will be an opportunity to enjoy the best basketball in Spain —which is among the best in Europe and, therefore, in the world— for the fans from all of Andalusia, and especially from Malaga, to whom Unicaja has just given a joy for which all of us from Malaga feel tremendously proud”.
