According to information provided by ITHome, Nvidia will soon ramp up production of its Ampere GPUs. The company has already sent out a new development plan to all partners and large distributors of iron.
In the summer, production will be focused entirely on the GeForce RTX 3000 series. As the company is limited in its capabilities, it will have to cut production of other models in favor of the new strategy. Some media outlets claim that the GeForce RTX 2060 fell under the cut. Probably as a method to deal with the shortage of new video cards on the market, Nvidia switched to the top-end line, where protection from miners is implemented.
Back at Computex 2021, Nvidia executives announced that they have high hopes for the launch of Lite Hash Rate versions, which should reduce the interest of miners in gaming video cards. Most likely, the company has taken a new course to combat the shortage of devices and miners.
