The appeals committee of the FIFA dismissed the request of the Argentine Football Association and confirmed today that the suspended match between Brazil and the Argentine National Team, due to the Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, must be played again.
Not satisfied with this decision, the AFA prepare to submit your claim to the CAS, as a last resort to reverse the decision made in Zurich.
In turn, those suspended have already fulfilled their dates without playing and, in contrast, the FIFA reduced financial penalties for AFA (from 200 to 100 thousand Swiss francs) and for the CBF (from 500 to 250 thousand Swiss francs), but the most important thing remains: the holding of the match that on September 5, 2021 was suspended a few minutes after starting, by decision of the Brazilian health authorities.
