NFL Comeback Player of the Year

The NFL has all different kinds of awards each and every year, but the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award is the most interesting award of them all. This award goes to the player who missed most of the previous season due to injury or other obstacle circumstances they have dealt with during the prior season.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won the award last season, and there will be different candidates for the award this season. Sports news has not talked about this very much this offseason. What are the odds for the Comeback Player of the Year Award for the 2022 NFL regular season?

Derrick Henry, Running Back, Tennessee Titans +325

Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans has the best odds of winning this award. He is probably the best running back in the NFL when he is healthy. Henry is the most important component of this Tennessee Titans offense. He was going to win the rushing title once again if he did not get hurt during the middle of the 2021 NFL season.

The offense did not feel as explosive without him in the lineup. A running back by committee helped Tennessee get the number one seed in the AFC last year, but the offense’s numbers dipped big time when Derrick Henry was not available to them.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill can take this football team only so far, but the defense had a great year last season for the Titans.

Derrick Henry is one of the most exciting players in all of the NFL. A lot of NFL fans love to tweet about him on Twitter, including Tennessee Titans fans themselves.

Jameis Winston, Quarterback, New Orleans Saints, and Deshaun Watson, Quarterback. Cleveland Browns +650

Jameis Winston of the New Orleans Saints and Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Winston tore his ACL last season for the Saints, and they were off to a 5-2 start until they started to slide in the NFC and miss the playoffs entirely.

Jameis Winston can throw the deep ball. One of the things he won’t have as his luxury is head coach Sean Payton, who retired. Dennis Allen was promoted from the defensive coordinator role to the head coaching role.

We will see how this bodes for this football team. Winston limited his turnovers as well when he was playing last season. He seemed to fill the void for retired quarterback Drew Brees just fine.

Deshaun Watson might be a player to stay away from as far as possible for this bet. He sat out all of last season with the Houston Texans because of off-the-field issues. Watson still might be suspended by the NFL this year.

If he does not get suspended for any games, Deshaun Watson is going to put up great numbers because of his talent. He is a major upgrade over Baker Mayfield at the quarterback position for head coach Kevin Stefanski, and that is why general manager Andrew Berry traded for him.

The Cleveland Browns received a lot of heat and criticism from the media about the Watson trade. We will see what happens moving forward. As a football talent, he is worth the bet, but his personality and off-the-field issues aren’t worth the bet.

Michael Thomas, Wide Receiver, New Orleans Saints +850

Michael Thomas missed all of last season with an ankle injury for the New Orleans Saints. He is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL when he is healthy. Thomas was a top-five wide receiver in the NFL when he was on his game.

As long as he plays football this season, he is going to put up numbers that fantasy football owners are going to be very happy about. Michael Thomas might be a very good bet as long as he stays healthy. Time will tell if his ankle is going to continue to bother him or not in the long run, and that could potentially sideline him for even longer.
