Next weekend: Starnacht returns to a real lake stage

For two days on June 3rd and 4th, the operetta and musical mecca of Mörbisch on Lake Neusiedl will be transformed into a hit, rock, pop and soul arena. Starnacht, which was invented at Lake Wörthersee, is returning to Burgenland for a guest performance after a six-year break. The location of the show is the lake stage in Mörbisch. There are still tickets left for both days.

Musically there should be something for (almost) every taste. Those who can still remember the hit “Ain’t That Just the Way” will be happy about the appearance of the American pop and soul singer Lutricia McNeal. We go back a few years with the legendary English band “The Rubettes”, who landed a world hit in 1974 with “Sugar Baby Love”.

In addition, entertainers Giovanni Zarrella, the German pop singer Sasha, the Schlager ladies Maite Kelly, Beatrice Egli, Tanja Lasch and Petra Frey, Schlager singer Julian Reim, the most successful dialect band in the country, “Die Seer”, the Austrian-Icelandic musician Thorsteinn Einarsson, Singer-songwriter “Die Mayerin”, the Styrian hit parade toppers “Alle Hoffnung” and Rubin, who was born in Burgenland.

The Starnacht, broadcast live by ORF2 and MDR on Saturday at 8.15 p.m., will be moderated by Barbara Schöneberger and Alfons Haider, for whom it is both a home game and a farewell as director of the Mörbisch Lake Festival. He hands over the Starnacht moderation to Bergdoktor actor Hans Sigl, who will celebrate his premiere alongside Schöneberger on July 15th and 16th at the Starnacht am Wörthersee.
