New cabin, new uniform: ITA Airways wants to become even more Italian

The Italian national airline has renewed the design of the long-haul cabin and its uniforms. According to ITA Airways, they want to rely even more on their own origins.

The new Italian national airline is only a little over half a year old. And she reinvents herself. Your first Airbus A350 with a new cabin takes off just in time for the Italian national holiday on June 2nd. The uniforms of the flight attendants were also renewed. They will be presented to the public for the first time on the maiden flight from Rome to Buenos Aires.

The motto of the new design is Made in Italy, according to ITA Airways. The airline worked with the fashion company Brunello Cucinelli on the uniforms. Designer Walter de Silva advised the airline on the interior design. The Airbus A350-900 has 334 seats, including 33 in Business Class and 39 in Comfort Economy, which offers more legroom.

The food is also very Italian

Blue and sand are the dominant colors. The lighting inside should adapt seamlessly to the different situations: boarding – take-off – flying – dinner – lunch – sunrise – sunset – night. Gradually, the cabin will be introduced across the entire fleet. The airline also relies entirely on Italian origin for the food on board. In all classes, care will be taken to ensure that Italian dishes and products are in the foreground, ITA said in a statement.
