The Cross Gris-Nez has committed significant resources to save migrants who were trying to cross the Channel towards England. The coastguard patrol boat Jacques Oudart Fourmentin was mobilized to recover the castaways.

A hundred people saved in one week

He then transported the quarantine of exiles to the port of Dunkirk where they were taken care of by the border police.

The last rescue operation dates back to Friday. That evening, 47 migrants were rescued when their boat was in trouble. In less than a week, just under a hundred exiles were rescued from the waters of the English Channel.
