While its Disney World “bubble” remains hermetic for the moment against Covid-19 and it had mentioned, last June, the possibility of testing the inhabitants of the cities of the franchises affected by the takeover, the NBA announced that it was now done.
Indeed, the league assures to have set up, in July, a program of donation of tests in Orlando but also in the other cities of the NBA franchises, which will continue again in August.
It works with private laboratories to identify regions where tests are most needed and where people have the most difficulty obtaining them. This is where the virus circulates the most.
The NBA distributes PCR tests for free and daily in a mobile stand at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet shopping center where each inhabitant, by appointment, can come and be tested.
According to figures from the New York Times, Covid-19 has killed more than 151,000 people in the United States and more than 4.4 million cases have been reported with, for the past week, a rate of 65,000 new cases daily.
