Bern has signed Christian Thomas for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old Canadian striker had already worn the capital club jersey once in 2019/2020, before the end of the season.

During the 2020/2021 financial year, Thomas worked in Finland with Kokoo. He scored 25 points (12 goals) in 34 matches. “We have strangers on the team who have been declining for some time”says athletic director Andrew Ebbett. “Christian Thomas already knows Bern and his qualities will adapt perfectly to this League”. He will arrive in the capital on Wednesday from Barys Nur-Sultan (KHL) where he started the season.

Thomas was part of Canada’s Olympic team in 2018 with 2 points (1 goal) in 6 games.

Private Ambri of Regin and Kostner

Ambri-Piotta will be deprived for at least ten days of his attackers Peter Regin and Diego Kostner. Regin suffered a muscle injury on Saturday in the derby in Lugano and Kostner injured his shoulder in training, the club announced.
