The General Staff of the Land Forces organizes on Friday, May 19, 2022, the National Conference with the theme “Division 7 Romanian Infantry. Honor, Glory, and Sacrifice. Tradition and actuality”.
The conference activities will take place starting at 10:00 a.m. in the Festivities Hall of the Roman City Hall and will continue near the former headquarters of the 7th Infantry Division, in Barracks 348 and in the Hall of Military Traditions of the 3rd Logistics Base “Zargidava” Roman, informs a press release of the organizers.
The National Conference is organized by the General Staff of the Land Forces through the 2nd Infantry Division “Getica” Buzău, the 3rd Logistics Base “Zargidava” Roman and the Military Museum “Ștefan cel Mare” – Moldova Branch, Iasi aa National Military Museum “King Ferdinand I”.

Established in 1880, the 7th Romanian Infantry Division participated in the Second Balkan War, in the military actions on the Romanian Front, throughout the First World War, as well as in the military actions carried out after the end of the First World War.
The Romania’s entry into the First World War, the 7th Infantry Division was part of the Northern Army, commanded by General Constantin Prezan. After the end of the First World War, the 7th Infantry Division participated in the operations of the Romanian Army in Transylvania, as well as in the offensive west of the Tisa.
