Nassir Little, who was injured during the meeting between the Blazers and the Clippers on Tuesday, suffered from hip pain. At first the white coats thought of a not too serious hurt, but Monsieur Petit had tests that revealed a fracture. It’s less funny and it’s one more blow to Portland.
In the NBA, everything moves very fast and Blazers fans can tell you that. A few weeks ago, Portland was squatting in the heights of the Wild West and the whole city could then walk around with a big smile on its face.
But the tide has turned, the Blazers have lost 8 of their last 10 games and are dealing with injuries. The latest? Nassir Little who has just had his medical certificate stamped for six weeks due to a broken hip suffered during the game against the Clippers earlier this week.
Injury Update
Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little left Tuesday night’s game against the LA Clippers in the fourth quarter with a right hip strain.
Further imaging of the right hip revealed a mild femoral head impaction fracture.
Min is expected to miss the next six weeks.

According to sources close to the case, the breach is minor, but rest is needed for the one who more than 4 years ago filled his bank account with a handsome check for 28 million potatoes. The second unit of the Blazers will have to do without the energy of little Nassir. His stats aren’t dizzying with averages of 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds, but he knows how to make himself useful during the quarter that he spends on the floor.
Back in the infirmary for a minimum of six weeks, the man knows the place. Since his debut in the NBA, he has already been there several times, including an extended stay last year due to a sore shoulder that cost him his end of the season.
So without Little, Portland travels to Utah tonight and gifts are scarce.
