MUSIC. Country and retro music will be featured at the 13e edition of the Nashville en Beauce Festival which will take place from July 23 to August 2.
The first weekend of festivities will begin with a performance by singer Brigitte Boisjoli on Friday July 24. The latter will present her concert Women, during which she will pay tribute to the American icons Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline, among others.
It will then be the turn of singer-songwriter Sylvain Cossette to entertain festival-goers the next day with the presentation of his tour 80s.
On the second weekend, the festival will first welcome artist Roch Voisine, on Friday July 31. To highlight the 10e anniversary of the release of the initial part of his album Americana in Quebec, he will perform songs from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, in particular popularized by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Neil Young and Willie Lamothe.
Taking up many disco hits in a sexy and flamboyant atmosphere, the group Boogie Wonder Band, whose members will be dressed in scintillating costumes, will ensure its last evening of 1er August with his show called Platinum.
Note that all of the performances will take place at Place Transport Raymond Tardif, located inside the Desjardins Recreation Center (new arena).
