Named the region of the Russian Federation in which there are more men than women | People | Society

Rosstat called the Russian region, in which more men than women live, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, only in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug there are slightly more representatives of the strong half of humanity than women. The proportion of the male population in Chukotka is 50.11 percent compared to 49.89 percent of the female.

It is noted that in some regions approximately the same number of men and women live. Such regions included the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (49.57 percent of men), the Kamchatka Territory (49.57 percent), Chechnya (49.06 percent), and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (49 percent).

The smallest number of men are in the Novgorod region (44.88 percent), St. Petersburg (44.86 percent), the Tula region (44.83 percent), Ingushetia (44.74 percent), Ivanovo (44.69 percent) and Yaroslavl ( 44.65 percent) areas.

Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service said that by 2036 in Russia there will be 1,128 women per thousand men. They also told how many Russians lead a healthy lifestyle. It turned out that in Chukotka the smallest number of healthy people is; only 0.4 percent of the population adhere to a healthy lifestyle.
