A mudslide hit the roof of the leak gallery on Ötztalstrasse.
Sölden – After heavy rains, two mudslides hit the roof of the leak gallery on Ötztalstrasse (B 186) between Zwieselstein and Untergurgl on Thursday morning and in the morning between Sölden and Untergurgl. The country announced that there were also debris deposits. The road was closed on both sides in this area for several hours. There was no possibility of diversion.
Due to the persistent heavy rainfall, the clean-up work had to be temporarily suspended for safety reasons. These could be resumed in the course of the morning and have now been completed. The Ötztalstraße is therefore open to traffic again in both directions.
A mudslide had already moved the Ötztalstraße between Sölden and Längenfeld on Tuesday, which resulted in an hour-long closure. At the beginning of June, the B 186 had to be closed for weeks due to a rock fall on the leak gallery. (TT.com)
