Good morning,
in the history of the NHL, only five clubs won the title when they were losing 0-2 in the Stanley Cup finals. Florida is now in such a situation after two duels on the Vegas ice and will try to achieve what Zden Char achieved with Boston in 2011 or Pittsburgh in the lineup with Miroslav Šatan in 2009.

In this year’s final, teams that have never won the trophy met. Florida has been a part of the NHL since 1993 and has been this far only once, back in 1996 with Slovak defenseman Róbert Švehl.
The Vegas Golden Knights only entered the league in 2017 and put together such a good team in the expansion draft that they made it to the grand finals in their first season. Even with Tomáš Tatar on the roster at that time, they were not enough for Washington (1:4 per games). Since then, they have missed the playoffs only once, when they fell short of 43 regular-season wins in 2022. Another Slovak forward, Tomáš Jurčo, also played eight matches in the 2020/2021 season.
