modified design and power, like the BMW X5

This past week, the new Mazda CX-60 2023 finally rolled off the assembly line. It is worth saying that the Japanese brand was in no hurry with the release of a fresh model of the CX line. The debutant in this regard was the CX-50 crossover. And this model was really able to surprise motorists and experts. It caused both a lot of rave reviews and criticism. The car showed an updated design and improved off-road performance. However, the Mazda CX-60 was able to surprise even more, which indicates its good prospects in terms of sales.

The exterior of the new Mazda CX-60 2023 shows a major transformation, while retaining some elements of the CX-50 family design. A massive radiator grille is installed in front of the car, which has a somewhat uneven design. The head optics of the car are like pipes. It is integrated into the grille, which looks innovative. In general, the front side of the crossover looks quite sporty. The stern of the SUV demonstrates a more relaxed design. There are separate lights and a two-way exhaust system that is built into the bumper. There is a small protrusion under the glass of the tailgate that imitates a duck tail spoiler.

The interior of the new Mazda CX-60 2023 looks no less luxurious. The manufacturer got rid of most of the physical controls, moving their functionality to the touch screen of the infotainment complex. The diagonal of the latter is 12.3 inches. In addition, you can control the touchpad and using the rotary knob. In addition, the car got a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument panel and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The SUV seats are very comfortable and equipped with various functions, and even tall passengers can easily fit on the second row of seats. Judging by the first reviews of journalists who managed to see the new Japanese model live, the interior of the CX-60 looks much more attractive and equipped than that of the CX-50.

As for the Mazda CX-60 2023 engine line, it differs depending on the sales market. So, the European modification of the SUV is equipped exclusively with a rechargeable hybrid transmission. It is based on a 2.5-liter gasoline unit, supplemented by an electric motor. The standard internal combustion engine produces 189 hp. power at 261 N * m of torque. The electric add-on generates 134 hp. and 250 N*m, respectively. The total output of the entire installation is 323 hp. and 500 N * m of thrust. In this regard, the “Japanese” is not inferior to the BMW X5. Paired with it is the i-Active all-wheel drive system, which mainly drives the rear wheels. In the home market, in addition to the hybrid version, customers will also be offered a diesel version of the SUV with a 3.3-liter engine. The power of this unit is 254 hp, and the thrust level is 550 N * m. His work is complemented by a 17-horsepower starter-generator. This means that this installation is a “mild” hybrid.

The overall dimensions of the Japanese model are 4745x1890x1670 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2870 mm. As standard, the SUV is equipped with a proprietary system that reduces body roll during maneuvering. This is due to the fact that one of the rear wheels starts to slow down. The average fuel consumption, according to the manufacturer, is 1.5 liters per “hundred”. Purely on electric traction, the car can travel about 63 km. The SUV reaches the first “hundred” in 5.8 seconds. In Germany, the crossover will be offered in 4 versions. The cost of the car will be 47,390 – 52,890 euros, which in translation at the current rate is 2.8 – 3.12 million rubles.
