Microsoft Ignite takes place in October

July 28, 2022 –
With the Ignite, Microsoft is holding the first tech event on site since the beginning of the corona pandemic. The event will take place October 12-14 at the Seattle Convention Center.

Microsoft is holding its first physical tech event since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Microsoft Ignite, the annual conference for developers and IT professionals, takes place October 12-14 in Seattle. However, since the space on site is limited, there is also the possibility to participate online, according to the group.

The official registration for the event should open at the end of August. With the registration, the final information about the costs should also be communicated. An FAQ for the Microsoft Ignite Event states: “The costs depend on which face-to-face event you would like to attend in person. More details will follow as soon as registration begins at the end of August.” Accordingly, there will be at least two different events on site, because according to the FAQ, digital participation will be free of charge.

Microsoft has already revealed some of the things that attendees of the event can expect: demos, on-site learning and meetings with Microsoft experts are on the agenda. For example, attendees can try out various product demos related to productivity and collaboration, intelligent business applications, customer insights, new product and service innovations, AI and automation, IoT, mixed reality, end-to-end security, sustainability, industry-specific cloud services and more focus. There is also the opportunity to participate in forums or to collaborate with technology innovators and experts from Microsoft.

Since Microsoft’s Ignite takes place only a few days before the 10th anniversary of Surface, one or the other product presentation can be expected in this regard. On the one hand, there are the latest Surface products to think about, on the other hand, the 22H2 update for Windows 11 planned for September 2022 should also be discussed. (rf)
