After failing to attract the Ukrainian prodigy Mykhailo Mudryk, finally recruited by his London rival Chelsea, the leader of the Premier League fell back on the 28-year-old Belgian, much more experienced and already familiar with the English championship.
Trossard, who played for Belgium at the recent World Cup, has scored seven times in 16 Premier League appearances for Brighton this season, including a hat-trick at Liverpool (3-3) in October.
