With the participation of students, graduates, academics, managers and the health sector, the tenth Covid-19 Medicine Academic Week: A Life Experience began, with which Xochicalco University intends to reinforce the knowledge of young people through interaction with experts from the health area.

Jordi Alva Alemn, vice-rector of the Universidad Xochicalco Ensenada campus, highlighted that these types of activities allow them to take learning beyond the classroom and for young people to interact with graduate students and medical specialists to strengthen their knowledge.

HYBRID ACTIVITIES
On the other hand, Kenia Marn Machado, academic coordinator of the campus, mentioned that from October 11 to 15, different academic, sports, cultural, recreational activities, forums, conferences, panel of graduates, among others, will be integrated for students.

He indicated that the Academic Week is being carried out in a hybrid way, which allows the more than 600 students of the Medicine career to participate in the different activities either in person or remotely.

Marn Machado added that approximately 60 percent of the enrollment for this degree comes from entities such as Baja California Sur, Sonora and Sinaloa, so he reiterated that these activities also allow them to reach neighboring states to join the university.

Finally, Simitrio Rojas Vergara, director of the School of Medicine in Ensenada, highlighted that the theme of the Academic Week is focused on a subject that has affected a lot both locally and globally, so they will be specialists who have been in the field of battle who will speak about preventive measures, treatments, rehabilitation and the social impact of the virus.

He pointed out that there will be around 25 presentations, between those scheduled for the Academic Week that is from Monday to Wednesday and those that will continue in the Congress of Medical Specialties of Xochicalco University (Cemux), a congress organized by and for students.

The presentations that will be offered during these days will also be open to the general public, since they handle an appropriate language for anyone who wishes to integrate, he concluded.
