Medical emergency deflects international flight to St. John's Airport

A medical emergency deviates an international flight to the St. John's airport

Two ambulances went to the St. John's International Airport Hospital at lunchtime following a medical emergency on an international flight.

Airport officials confirmed that Saudi Arabian Airlines 777 had been hijacked in St. John's for a medical emergency whose nature is not known to date.

Shortly after noon, two ambulances departed from the airport with lighthouses and sirens activated. RNC members also attended the scene.

The flight was heading for Washington.
