You can never have too much pitching, so it comes as no surprise that there is a large group of teams interested in Marcus Stroman, one of the best right-handers in baseball.
According to Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors, the Red Sox, Giants, Cubs, Mets and Angels would be interested in the mound.
Stroman had a 3.02 ERA in 33 starts with the Mets in 2021 and has a 3.63 ERA in his career over seven seasons in the majors.
The Angels recently signed another pitcher from the Mets by making a deal with right-hander Noah Syndergaard, in what appears to be the first of several moves to improve his pitching.
The Red Sox lost Eduardo Rodríguez in free agency. It is reported that the Giants have reached agreements with Anthony DeSclafani and Alex WoodBut they could lose Kevin Gausman and Johnny Cueto in the free market.
The Cubs are looking to get back on track after exiting Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant and Puerto Rican Javier Báez. The Mets also have an interest in renewing with Stroman.
