Real had ended the season in La Liga as a champion and is now preparing for the rest of the season in the Champions League. On August 7, coach Zinedine Zidane’s side will face Manchester City in the second leg of the round of 16.
The English rival won the first match 2-1. It is initially unclear whether Mariano will be available again in the second leg. However, the Dominican Republic international is not likely to play.
