“Mane at Bayern will ruin the best years of his career. Bundesliga champion medals will be in the back of his trophy cabinet.” Ex-Liverpool striker Saunders on Sadio

The ex-Liverpool striker has spoken out about the transfer of winger Sadio Mane to Bayern.

“I have nothing against this club, it is great. But in this championship, Mane will not have any challenges. He will score goals, the team will win 5-0 every week. Only one club can win the Bundesliga.

This is not a challenge. He will sit in a chair, light a cigar, go out to play for Bayern in third gear. He will be able to relax for two years – and therefore ruin the best two years of his career.

If, at the end of his career, he calls you to look at his cupboard with awards, then the Bundesliga medal will lie in his far corner.

I can’t believe he is leaving Liverpool. I don’t know how it came to this. He is 30 years old, and for the last six months he has played his best football ever in the team. At times he was unstoppable.

With the advent of Diaz, he began to play more in the center, he began to connect the team’s game better and better. I can’t understand how you can leave Liverpool at a time like this, how you can, playing the best football of your life and acting as part of the best attacking trio of his career, go to Bayern,” said Dean Saunders.
