A 56-year-old man had his hand broken as a result of a work accident, on the morning of this Wednesday, during the construction works of the new Bosch buildings, in Lomar, Braga.
According to what MINHO found out, the victim’s right hand was trapped in a machine and remained conscious while being stabilized at the scene by the Braga Volunteer Firefighters with the support of the VMER team.
The worker was initially transported to Hospital de Braga and later transferred to Hospital de S. João, in Porto, considered to be seriously injured.
A source from Bosch told O MINHO that the accident took place during the construction work of the new buildings and that the victim is an employee of the construction company.
The alert was given at 09:05.
The Volunteer Firefighters of Braga provided assistance with two operators and an ambulance and had the support of VMER.
The PSP recorded the occurrence.
