A father of a family was tragically killed in Canada. He was crushed by his own car in the drive-through of a McDonald’s while trying to pay for his order.
In Vancouver, Canada, a man died in the drive-through of a McDonald’s restaurant. As the Canadian news medium “CBC” reported, the family man was crushed by his own vehicle on Wednesday.
According to the police, footage from a surveillance camera showed him falling out of his car while trying to pay for his order. According to matching media reports, it was the man’s bank card. When he opened the car door and tried to pick up the debit card, the vehicle rolled forward and collided with an “object in the restaurant”. In pictures of the affected McDonald’s branch, both a pillar of the building and a post can be seen in the area of the payment counter in the drive-in.
The man was apparently trapped between the door and the frame of the vehicle and was unable to free himself. “First responders tried to resuscitate the man, but tragically he died at the scene of the accident,” “CBC” quoted a policewoman as saying. “This is an absolutely heartbreaking scenario. Our deepest condolences go to this man’s family and friends.”
