The IPMA forecasts for this Tuesday “slightly cloudy or clear skies” and “sometimes strong winds on the western coastal strip, in the western Algarve and in the highlands”.
Thus, “weak to moderate winds (up to 30 km/h) from the north/northwest are expected, sometimes blowing strongly (up to 40 km/h) on the western coastal strip south of Cabo Raso and in the western Algarve, especially during the afternoon, and moderate to strong (30 to 45 km/h) with gusts up to 60 km/h in the highlands, especially in the Center and South”.
A “small drop in maximum temperature” and a “small rise in minimum temperature in the North and Center” are also expected.
The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 16 degrees Celsius (in Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Guarda and Coimbra) and 23 (in Faro) and the maximum between 25 (in Viana do Castelo, Porto and Aveiro) and 37 (in Évora).
As for the state of the sea, on the West Coast, “northwest waves measuring 1.5 to 2 meters” are expected, with the water temperature at 16/18ºC. On the South Coast, “waves less than 1 meter” are expected and water at 22/24ºC.
