(Motorsport-Total.com) – The Lancia Delta Integrale returns: As an electric car in the World Rallycross Championship (WRX)! The GCK team of the French rallycross and stunt driver Guerlain Chicherit had a Lancia Delta Evo-e developed on their own and wants to use the car in the WRX in 2022.

GCK brings the Lancia Delta Evo-e into the World Rallycross Championship
The Delta Integrale is a legendary car in the history of the World Rally Championship. Between 1988 and 1992, the Italian manufacturer’s car won a total of eight world championship titles: five times for the manufacturers and three times for the drivers with Juha Kankkunen and Miki Biasion.
In the course of the new edition of the road version of the car, Chicherit decided to bring the Delta to the WRX slopes as an electric car. Like all cars in the starting field of the WRX 2022, the Lancia will also be produced by a standardized one from the Austrian company Kreisel Electric, which has an output of 500 kilowatts (680 hp) and a torque of 880 Newton meters.

GCK had used Renault vehicles between 2018 and 2020, most recently a Megane developed by Prodrive. The team has not yet announced how many Lancia Delta of the team will enter the WRX in 2022 and who will drive the car or cars.
