The developers of Google break record once again by having the new operating system ready Android 13 Beta. We are still exploring a lot of features of version 12 of the program and since this last week of April there are already cell phones that can access the software.
This year there are two peculiarities that are important to highlight. The first of all is that the operating system skipped the developer testing part. The same program is already available to use on Android phones (those that are compatible).
And also, as Xataka reviews, we don’t have to wait for it to be released during the Google I/O 2022 conference. Since April 26 there is already a preliminary version to start browsing the new Android interface.
Main features of Android 13 Beta
As usual, the first big news of each operating system is improvement in security aspects. It may seem like a repetitive topic, but just as the shields to protect information are constantly renewed, cybercriminals and malware installers also find ways to compromise data.
Among the novelties highlighted by the aforementioned portal, are the new photo selectors, thematic app icons, innovation with permission for notifications and better detailed location through maps.
In this same sense, Android 13 Beta will take the audacity (it may well) to ask permissions even with certain types of media files before saving them to internal storage. According to Xataka, those targeted are: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (for images and photos); READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (for videos) and READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (for audio files).
Compatible cell phones
It should not be a surprise to the first lucky ones who have access to an operating system developed by Google. The Mountain View giant released Android 13 Beta for its first line of cell phones.
This is how then Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a y Pixel 6 y Pixel 6 Pro already have access to Android 13 Betaas long as they have already downloaded Android 12.1
