Seven people who worked for Kim Kardahsian accused her of ill-treatment. The star defended herself in legal documents obtained by The Blast.
Kim Kardashian has denied accusations by former employees that she refused to give them proper meals and breaks. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has responded to allegations made in a May 21 complaint filed by seven former staff members employed at his $ 60 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California.
They accuse him of late payments, withholding 10 percent of their pay for taxes and refusing to pay them overtime. They also note that they were forced to work without a lunch break and were not given detailed payslips.
In documents obtained by The Blast on Thursday (Sept. 9, 21), Kim Kardashian claims she was not responsible for checking to see if the team was fed and allowed to take breaks, as she was hired and paid by the ‘intermediary of a third-party provider. “(Kim) alleges that at all times mentioned, (the team) received the breaks to which they were entitled,” the legal documents say.
The Kardashians also hit back in a statement. “These workers were hired and paid through a third-party supplier hired by Kim to provide ongoing services. Kim was not a part of the agreement between the supplier and his workers, therefore, she is not responsible for the way the supplier runs their business and the agreements they have made directly with their staff. Kim has never paid a supplier for her services and hopes that the issue between these workers and the supplier who hired them can be quickly resolved amicably. “
