A real “bomb” is that Kike Teruel, the musician from Salta and founding member of Los Nocheros, dropped it at this time: he announced that he is leaving the band without providing too many details, which will be revealed this Sunday.

What is striking is that the confirmation is given days after performing at the Cosquín Folklore Festival, a key place for the group from Salta, since it was there that they achieved their explosion of popularity starting in 1994 when they received the Consecration award. In fact, this edition marks three decades since their debut, which occurred a year earlier when they were invited on stage by Cacho Tirao.

“How are you doing? How are they? There are many rumors about my departure from the group, from Los Nocheros, and it is true, ”Teruel confirmed in a brief video on his social networks.

Then he continued: “Tomorrow (for this Sunday) at 7:00 p.m., I will tell you in a live one-on-one with you. Thank you very much, I’ll wait for you here, ”she limited herself to saying, raising all the questions. Will it be a final exit? How will the group continue?

This is not the first time that Kike Teruel has left Los Nocheros, although his previous departure was under other circumstances.

The separation was announced in November 2013, when the singer confirmed that he would take a “sabbatical year” to live in Spain with his son from April 2014 until December of that year.

“I always thought about it, but I saw it as unrealizable because I was always absolutely involved in my own business; but I spoke to the boys from Los Nocheros and told them that I needed some time, and they told me ‘take whatever you need,’ he declared at the time.

In that interim, Los Nocheros published Trío, an album in which they recorded with an atypical formation made up of Mario Teruel, Álvaro Teruel, Rubén Ehizaguirre.

They also performed in a trio format for several months in 2019 after Mario Teruel decided to leave the group following allegations of sexual abuse against his son Lautaro, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for those events.
