Puerto Rican artist from the urban scene Young Miko won a nomination for the prestigious Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony, to be held on February 23 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, broadcast by Univisión.
The talented voice of hits like “Riri”, “Vendetta”, “Standard” and “Puerto Rican Mami”, to name a few, has been nominated in the Female Revelation Artist category, along with Bad Gyal, Corina Smith, Elsa and Elmar , Kim Loaiza, La Gabi, Las Villa, Lola Indigo, Tokischa and Villano Antillano.
“To be nominated for Breakthrough Female Artist is an incredible source of pride, and I am honored to be able to be highlighted among so many talented women. Thanks to the public that supports me. Ready for this 2023, which will be a great year”, she highlighted.
That nomination was announced a day after Young Miko enjoyed the great annual Calibash concert where Karol G was a part and held in Los Angeles, California. Upon spotting the Puerto Rican interpreter in the audience this past weekend as just another fan, the Colombian superstar recognized her presence and showered her with praise.
“There are new artists constantly that one goes crazy… There is one called Young Miko, she is from Puerto Rico, my second home…”, was Karol G’s comment about the young singer. Immediately afterwards, Karol G asked Young Miko in the middle of the show to “invite me to a song so we can break it, well…”, which made the Puerto Rican singer shudder.
Young Miko is in Los Angeles recording new music.
