Jaime Daniel Medina Gómez is an outstanding athlete from Loja who, at only 20 years of age, has achieved significant achievements in his sports career.

In Mexico City, this Saturday, September 16, the ADCC Open was held, a competition in which Jaime Daniel participated in the intermediate category (-83kg), proclaiming himself champion of the Pan American JiuJitsu (Brazilian), NO-GI modality.
To obtain this victory, the young man from Loja participated in 5 fights, subduing one of his opponents, while he beat the other opponents on points.
In dialogue with Diario Crónica, the athlete explained that his participation took place at the ECR fight center gym in Cancún and was under the direction of coach Eduardo Cortéz, who is in charge of preparing it both physically and nutritionally.

- Ecuadorian National Champion (adult) Heavy category NO-GI modality 2021, of the Ecuadorian Federation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
- Absolute National Champion (adult) NO-GI modality 2021, of the Ecuadorian Federation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
- Continental Champion in the kimono category 2023, Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP) Cancun Mexico.
- Continental Champion of the NO-GI modality category 2023, Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) Cancun Mexico.
- ESL Pan American Championship Podium (Kimono Modality) 2023 (Second Overall, Third Category).
- ADCC Champion Mexico City 2023 NO-GI Modality.
Like other triumphs, the man from Loja dedicates this victory to his father Jaime Medina, his country and the city where he was born. (D)
