“The first week was difficult. Watching football for me was very hard and I made the decision to watch less football to assimilate everything … I have no doubt that being in optimal conditions I would be better, when I was injured it was when I was feeling better at Atlético de Madrid and from there it was all the relapse. If something could change, it is perhaps the subject of the operation, but things happened like this; however, everything that happened in my career was a struggle of victories, defeats and learning ”, stressed the former footballer in RCN.

On his personal drama with the injury, beyond sports, Jackson mentioned: “It’s something that people don’t see, but it was hard for me after being in surgery and trying to come back for two years (because I did everything in my power)… Later I had the option to go to other teams and at that moment I needed to be in a team where I could push myself, not that it was so easy to play because I wanted to stay active and after two years it went very well with Portimonense to get out of the descent; I could play without injecting myself and in the games I managed the pain, but there was a game where I felt that my ankle was being inflated and it was something impressive because I did not measure myself with anesthesia and I had to take medication to be able to sleep ”.
He also explained his frustrated return to Independiente Medellín: “When the tournament ended in Portugal, the talks started; I gave a statement that I would like to finish my degree in Medellín. It did not happen for different reasons and I made the decision seeing that I was no longer going to be able to play in the DIM, I took four months to do specific jobs without much impact to see if after that time I could play in better conditions without so much suffering . Then I trained again and I felt fine, but the pain returned and as I knew my body I made the decision to retire ”.
And he closed talking about his future, confessing that he wants to continue linked to the activity of football: “Today I am taking some time to think about what to do, because I really like sports training to work with children and in February I will start doing some courses while in the middle of the year there is a more focused preparation and I will continue releasing music while God gives me the opportunity to continue writing ”.
