PJ seized, over more than a year, almost 11 kilos of a synthetic drug used as a cheaper substitute for cocaine. Narcotic product arrives in the Azores and Madeira in postal orders.
Since May of last year, the Judiciary Police (PJ) has seized almost 11 kilos of a synthetic drug, which causes hallucinations, fear and paranoia in consumers. With a high incidence in the islands of the Azores and Madeira, this drug is used as a cheaper substitute for cocaine, but causes irreversible damage to the central nervous system of drug addicts. The PJ investigation has now concluded with the arrest of five of Madeira’s main traffickers.
