Israel raises travel warning for Turkey

Israel’s National Security Council has raised the travel warning for its citizens planning to go to Turkey. The decision was cited as the growing concern by security officials about the Iranians’ attempts to harm Israelis around the world.

“Turkey is currently a high-risk country for Israelis,” the statement said.

According to the data of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of tourists from Israel in the January-April period exceeded 157 thousand with an increase of 632 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

During this period, the share of Israeli tourists among tourists visiting Turkey rose to 2 percent.
