The environmental historian Guillaume Blanc shakes the coconut palm of our good ecological conscience … to put an end to the myth of the African Eden.

Let us shake the coconut palm from our good ecological conscience by questioning the environmental protection policies at work on the continent. Since the end of the XIXth century and the creation of the first African natural parks to “save” a necessarily virgin and wild nature of these inhabitants, it is always the same logic which continues. With Guillaume Blanc (environmental historian, specialist in contemporary Africa) for his bookThe invention of green colonialism, to put an end to the myth of African Eden, published by Flammarion.
