Securities listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange mobilized an overall investment envelope of 16.2 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of 2022, up 11.9% compared to the end of 2021, according to BMCE Capital Global Research (BKGR ).
In detail, 46.6% of this envelope was drained by Maroc Telecom (+34.9% compared to 2021) following the strengthening of the Group’s investment expenditure in line with the 2022 Guidances announcing the deployment of a significant investment program, specifies BKGR in its publication “Earning Q4-2022”.
In addition, 15.3% of this amount was handled by mining companies, including 87% by Managem despite an 8% drop year-on-year to 2.17 billion dirhams, mainly following the completion of investments in the TRI-K project and the investment effort in new projects, in particular the extension of the gold production plant in Sudan and the Tizert copper project in southern Morocco.
In addition, 7.2% was drained by Label Vie due to its aggressive expansion program with the opening of 19 points of sale in 2022 and 6.1% by Health, of which 81.8% polarized by the Akdital Group following the opening of 8 new establishments, bringing the Group’s bedding capacity to 1,822 beds nationally, an increase of 99.8% compared to the previous year.
On the balance sheet, the publication shows that the net debt of listed securities (excluding financials) increased by 8.6% to 57.2 billion dirhams at the end of 2022.
