Since the beginning of January, insurers have been revealing the rates paid on their life insurance contracts.
It’s the tradition. As every year, between the beginning of January and the month of March, insurers take turns communicating on the fund’s returns in euros on their life insurance contracts. The first good surprise comes from the MACSF which allowed itself the luxury of increasing its rate, to 2.10% in 2021, against 1.55% in 2020. Returns also very correct on the side of the Afer and Gaipare associations, and by SMAvie BTP. However, beware of the optical effect, the first to communicate are often among the best. In 2020, the average return on euro funds stood at 1.30% according to the French Insurance Federation (FFA), against 1.50% in 2019. No doubt they will continue to erode this year.
The drafting of Particular lists the rates communicated by insurers over the course of their publication.
